Not enough people to improve PDZ content, Mighty Loveday states
It’s Mr. Pants and Battletoads stay on their intended platforms
Welcome To Rare’s dark blue background of a site has changed to lighter blue pastures, and with the major redesign comes new information. The Scribes page has been updated for the first time in four months with a bit of worthwhile stuff.
Perhaps the most significant piece of news of Loveday’s latest homily regards to PDZ. According to him, features like Kill-TV and N64’s originals Counter-Ops or Challenges will sadly never see the light of day due to not “having enough people to do it ever.”
Speaking of things that will never be, Loveday continues to acknowledge that the cult classic It’s Mr. Pants is not in the works for the Xbox Live Arcade, while adding the famous beat-‘em-up Battletoads in the expanding list of games not to get a comeback for the Xbox 360.
On the other hand, Loveday also reveals that Grant Kirkhope is taking on his role in the Banjo series once again, this time working on the musical score for Banjo 3. The game still doesn’t have a final title, and it doesn’t look like there will be one for a while, noting that Viva Piñata was titled during the final stages of development. For those hungry of Banjo, there is also an update including 4 new Banjo-Pilot wallpapers which were due in July.
Another musician who keeps faithful to his origins is David Wise, who is indeed working on the musical score for Diddy Kong Racing DS. As far as we know, there is a Q1 2007 release date in the PAL region, while the US has no set release time.
Finally, Rare has updated its downloads section with two new mp3’s: Chilling in the Trainer’s Hut from Kameo and Bridge Assault from PDZ respectively.
