The fifth Piñata Accessory Pack can now be unlocked
Players paying for content that they already have?
Viva Piñata keeps getting more useless accessories via Xbox Live. For the usual 90 Microsoft Points now you can get the key to unlock the Accessory Pack #5, which is content that apparently you have already paid for.
That’s right. You already have all these packs, but you need the key (a file of 108.00 KB in size) to get access to them. This issue was discovered not long ago, and it has already caused much debate on many gaming forums, angering a lot of gamers. Micro-transactions have been working with lots of titles, and Microsoft is not always charging money for them: a good example is Dead Rising, where you can get for free some keys to unlock new clothes. But Viva Piñata is the first Rare title with this kind of Xbox Live content, and sadly one of the cases where you have to pay (again) for it.
So, now that you are aware of what is happening, is totally up to you to buy or not the unlock-key for the new Piñata Accessory Pack. It ‘includes’ the following three items for your animal buddies: a Pearly Bracelet, a pair Reading Glasses and Comedian’s Choice (a pair of glasses with shocking eyeballs).
