DKC on Wii in time for President’s Day
The game is already available in Europe, Australia and Japan
Donkey Kong Country, one of the games that brought Rare into the limelight, is going to be available on the Virtual Console in the U.S. starting today. The game, released 12 years ago, stars Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they journey through Donkey Kong Island to retrieve the Banana Hoard that King K. Rool has savagely stolen.
It’s rather interesting to note that, for some peculiar reason, Donkey Kong Country has been available on the Virtual Console in other parts of the world since their respective Wii launches except for the U.S. launch. Regardless, if you’ve never played Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, GBA, or GBC or would just like to relive a game that began Rare’s golden years, then this game is for you. It is available for 800 Wii Points (8 dollars).
