Rare fixes a bug in Jetpac Refuelled file
The company asks users to download it again
If somebody in Twycross thought that cosmic bugs were only seen in Jet Force Gemini, they were wrong. The recently released Jetpac Refuelled fox Xbox Live Arcade has been causing problems to some users when they were trying to obtain some of the secret easter eggs in form of (free) desktop themes and profile icons.
Although Rare has inmediatly fixed this issue, they have asked everybody to remove the game and download it again, instead of using a typical game update. Due to this alternative method, we bet that a lot of people won’t get the corrected file, so they’ll not fix the bug. But, anyway, at least they have noticed it and corrected it. This is what Rare’s statement says:
“As some of you noticed, while playing in single player mode, the free dashboard theme awarded at a certain stage in the game was not downloading correctly. The issue has now been rectified, and an update posted to Xbox Live. In order for the update to install correctly you MUST delete the existing package from your console and follow the instructions below. Please note: deleting and then re-downloading the package will not affect your saved game or Leaderboard status, or cost you any additional Microsoft Points. In addition, you WILL NOT be charged for this download.”
- Navigate to the ‘System’ blade in the 360 dashboard.
- Select the ‘Memory’ menu option.
- Select the storage device on which Jetpac Refuelled is saved.
- Select the ‘Games’ menu option.
- Navigate to the Jetpac entry in the menu and select it.
- When you select the Jetpac entry, highlight ‘Jetpac Xbox Live Arcade Game’.
- Select and confirm the ‘Delete’ option.
- Re-download from the Arcade downloads section of the dashboard to obtain the updated game.
