Conker’s Xbox outing is still enjoyed, glitches and all
PDZ, Kameo, Refuelled, and VP nowhere to be found
Another year has passed for Microsoft’s online gaming service, and with another year comes another end-of-year list courtesy of Major Nelson. In terms of Rare, it wasn’t too hot. Keep in mind that this list is solely on the amount of games played with a gamertag, not actual sales, except for the Xbox Live Arcade platform.
The Top Ten Xbox 360 titles of the year? Not a Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, or Viva Piñata in sight. The Top Ten Xbox Live Arcade titles sold for the year? Jetpac Refuelled, a game released this past year, wasn’t found on the list either. While it wasn’t expected to see the first two (and maybe Piñata) on the list, it’s sad to see something like 3D Ultra Minigolf make it over Refuelled.
The Top Ten Xbox titles? In a surprising upset, Conker Live & Reloaded is number 8 on the list, a whopping ten spots up from last year’s performance as the 18th most played Xbox title of 2006. It’s amazing what a little backwards replayability can do to the life span of a game.
Congratulations to all the titles that made the list! Except for 3D Ultra Minigolf.
