Fleeting furry rumour ends?
Rare's XBLA sports game could have passed away two years ago
Short life for the recent The Fast & The Furriest gossip. According to a recent update from The Rare Witch Project, the game did exist a while ago, but it’s no longer a title in development for Xbox Live Arcade: “this project was in the research/development stage in Summer 2006. Since then the team who were working on it have been moved onto other things,” our neighbours pray.
The original source for the rumour, Xbox 360 Fanboy gaming blog, had already stated that “when the game will release, how much will change between now and then and if it’ll even survive the development cycle is a book of mysteries of it’s own.” It seems that they were certain, but they also needed to catch up with the latest insider events.
And that’s it. Probably, now the furry-loved title will join the limbo of unreleased Rare titles that we once knew about but were never officialy unveiled. It now rests in peace along with Arc Angel, Chris Seavor’s MMORPG, Sabreman Stampede and maybe even GoldenEye XBLA.
