Banjo-Kazooie 3 release window set on holidays?
Shane Kim offers a vague launch date
With so much secrecy around it, probably this wasn’t the way Rare intended to unveil the release date for Banjo-Kazooie 3. But when last week at the DICE gaming summit Microsoft’s Shane Kim was asked about the game by a MTV journalist, he couldn’t resist to express how “super-excited” is “about what Rare is doing with Banjo“ and gave what seems to be a tentative release date. “Banjo is going to be a big hit for us this holiday,” he declared.
While it was already confirmed that Banjo 3 was coming this year (that’s beyond any doubt according to Rare), Kim’s words doesn’t really look like an official release date… yet. So, instead of taking it as a firm release date, we’d better take it as a confirmation of a release window. In any way, when asked about this issue, Rare’s Community Manager George Kelion stated that “Shane Kim does not lie,” if that also means something to you.
Rare should probably announce the first official data about the game in the near future; in the meanwhile, we’ll keep you up to date about any new BK3 informations.
