Conker’s Xbox outing not reloading for now

The Glitchfest may return, but not at the moment

A week or so ago, some websites reported that classics like Conker Live & Reloaded would come back via Xbox Originals. The reasoning for this is because images of Xbox games were found in Microsoft’s public access FTP.

The real reason? Tom McShea from Kwanzoo, a trivia site, contacted Microsoft asking them for image stills from Xbox titles for a future video game trivia section. It’s by no means a confirmation of re-releases for the Xbox Original part of the 360 experience. Tom adds a quote to Destructoid mentioning that “though Grabbed by the Ghoulies will most likely have images added to their server, this does not indicate that they will ever release this cult hit on XBLA. It just means I wrote trivia for this colossal bomb.”

Does this mean that we won’t see Conker, Ghoulies and other Xbox titles again? Of course not. Microsoft loves money, and if common sense is of any indication, we’ll see people willing to pay once more (or for the first time) for the glitchy mess that backwards compatible version of Conker Live & Reloaded turned out to be. Although re-releasing Ghoulies would be a great opportunity to give more people a chance to play the criminally shafted and underrated game. Make it happen, Microsoft!
