¡Viva Piñata 2 Pronto!
So says Surfer Girl, so we said three weeks ago
The almighty Surfer Girl has updated his/her/its blog again to tell us, in beautiful Spanish, that there will be a new Viva Piñata game this year. Well, thank you sweetie, but we knew it. Although we don’t really want to start a new fight like the one we recently had with Xbox World 360 magazine, so let’s just say that we are glad that somebody is finally echoing the news. Plus we like the guy, girl or goblin behind that blog, even if it’s just because it makes some of us think about a wet, Californian, twenty-something blonde lass wearing a pink bikini every time we read something there.
Some others think about beach boys instead, who knows why.
Viva Piñata Dos, as she/he/it adequately named the game, is set to be released sometime near the end of this year. We published that in February along with some extra information. Now we can also tell you that Justin Cook, a veteran from Viva Piñata Uno, would be directing the project under the supervision of Lord Gregg Mayles. It is an Xbox 360 game despite all the talk about a possible Nintendo DS adaptation. And if it isn’t official yet, it is probably because of the well-deserved attention that the third Banjo needs and because it could also be delayed without warning.
All this is not just a simple guess; Rare said plenty of stuff about the game in one of their latest Scribes editions last month. Cook was more than obvious when he mentioned that “there will be more in the form of colourful Piñatas from everyone’s favourite studio.” Back then it was also stated that a new title from the Viva Piñata team “should be in the shops before the end of the year.” And no, the people working on that team are not the same that are working on Banjo; Community Manager George Kelion commented on this when he told us that “the Banjo team and Piñata team are, in fact, two separate teams.” So the new game Cook and his people are working on, as they said, “it is not Banjo.” It is, indeed, Viva Piñata Dos, El Retorno de las Piñatas, La Venganza de las Piñatas Cachondas or whatever you wanna call it. Although it would be creepy if they use that last title.

Oh, good to know, Angryaztec =) But I think it was more funny without knowing it for sure, especially when he likes toying with the issue himself.
But if Surfer is a “he”, he’s also obviously gay. He recently wrote that “Brütal Legend is the video game equivalent of waking up in the morning next to Ryan Gosling and then some.” Which also clearly reveals his good taste for men, I must say.
Comment by Xmooth — 24.Mar.08 @ 6:48 pmHe said that?
Oh, then there’s no question he’s gay.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that either. Peace.

“The almighty Surfer Girl has updated his/her/its…”
LOL I still that mistake also. But people in the gaming business have already identified Surfer Girl gender quite a while ago.
He’s a “HE” not a she. He might be gay so maybe the “it” fits him as well. (I’m kidding)
I was informed about it from Capcom’s very own “Sven” Svensson. So there you have it. Make no more mistakes about it.
