Tusk and Klobb return!
Although not in Rare games, they live on
And now for something a little, but not completely, different. A couple of eagle-eyed readers have noted that Namco has released new screenshots of its create-a-character mode in Soul Calibur IV Darth Vader/Yoda Edition. Like this beauty down below.
Hmm… a sword… blonde hair… angry “I’m going to beat your face in” façade… something tells me that there’s an Uncle Tusk fan within Namco Bandai. Yeah, it may be a stretch, but dammit, it’s the closest we’ll ever get to a Killer Instinct 3. And yet you know a part of you can’t wait to pit your favorite agony aunt against Yoda and/or Darth Vader. Admit it.
For something that’s far less of a stretch and more of a tribute, the Klobb is back! That’s right, everyone’s favorite lousy gun in GoldenEye named after one Ken Lobb is now back in Silicon Knight’s next epic, Too Human. A screenshot from Wired shows the gun, now titled “The Klobb” for the same reasons that it was named after Mr. Lobb back in the GoldeneEye days, due to his assistance in the upcoming Xbox 360 game.
That concludes the horribly infrequent “Rare, yet not Rare” news for this site. Next article will be substantially chock full of Rare love. Promise.
