Pre-order Nuts & Bolts and get early access to BK XBLA

BK N&B releases on November 14th in America

As if the Banjo news wasn’t interesting enough today, today we get graced by not one, but two pieces of really good news.

First off, the release date of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is officially confirmed to be November 14th in the US, with the retail price of $39.99, which MundoRare mentioned in what seems like an eternity ago. We asked Rare what the release date would be for Europe, and what they estimated was “a week after Nuts & Bolts releases in America.”

That’s not all. In one of the greatest pre-order incentives ever to grace retailers (the greatest since Master Quest when you pre-ordered Wind Waker, in this lowly writer’s opinion), if you pre-order Nuts & Bolts, you will get a “free confirmation code” for BK XBLA, two weeks before Nuts & Bolts comes out. 5 dollars for one of the greatest platformers of all time, with the promised Stop ‘n’ Swop feature, tying with Jetpac Refuelled as the cheapest Rare game to date, is one of the best deals ever made. If you’re somehow foolish enough to not pre-order it (or don’t live in America, where it’s the only place that’s confirmed this awesome opportunity), BK XBLA will hit the service “a couple of weeks” after Nuts & Bolts.

Last but not least, there are twelve new screenshots and a new trailer of the Jiggoseum about, which we recently confirmed to be the new name for the formerly known as World of Sports. Microsoft informed about this new level, which will be playable this week in the Game Convention of Leipzig: This giant stadium evokes themes of ancient Rome and Greece with modern day sports activities. The Jiggoseum, common stomping ground for Mr. Fit and Trophy Thomas, will include 17 challenges to test Banjo’s (and his contraptions’) athletic abilities. In order to successfully complete his adventure in this world, Banjo must transport the Olympic Torch across a large body of water to help Captain Blubber light the Olympic Cauldron. A boat may seem like the vehicle of choice for the job… but with tons of options, it’s up to the player to decide. Watch it, admire it, and think of all the fun you could be having in less than three months.

Ha ha, fantastic!

Does Blubber ride with you on your craft, or would you actually pass it to him after crossing the water?

I’m smiling about everything I hear about this game. Simply awesome.:)
