Of Themes and Friends
Dashboard "will be present on every channel in cool dynamic ways"
So, another Friday, and another post on Gamerscore Blog talking about what to expect with the upcoming Dashboard revamp (officially coming out sometime in November, natch!). This week, they touch on how Themes are going to affect your experience on the new dash, and how your friends’ page is going to look along side it.
This time around, Themes will expand to everything about the dashboard “in dynamic ways.” Graphics used on multiple pages will fit in with the themes; for example, objects behind your friends on your friends’ page. If you happen to be cool enough to use the Signature Theme, you’ll find Xbox related items behind all of your friends; consoles, logos, empty boxes, and the like. If you happen to be cool to use the Stockholm Underground Theme, your friends will be the proud owners of back alleys, police cars, and what I can only assume will be middle-aged, half-naked prostitutes.
On your friends page, you’ll be able to tell if your maximum of 100 friends are online by what their avatars are doing at the moment. If they’re waving at you, they might be beckoning for you to join their party. If they appear to be sleeping, then they’re likely offline. If they are lying down, but doing something other than sleeping, I suggest leaving them alone.
Oh, and in case you were a savvy enough consumer to purchase older themes on your 360, have no fear, they will still work; just don’t expect any of the new features to take effect.
