Sharing is good, competing is better
Share your creations online or find a bunch later this week
While Trouble in Paradise “came out” yesterday in the United States, you might be hard-pressed to find a copy on store shelves until today or tomorrow, what with the period between ship dates and your local GameStop actually having copies to sell. The game will not arrive to Europe until this Friday, and you won’t get it before next Thursday if you are from Australia. What you could be doing in that period, then, is checking out the relaunched Viva Piñata community website, complete with new doohickeys specifically tying into Trouble in Paradise’s online features.
It’s all rather simple- signing in with your Gamertag will allow you to see your basic garden stats as well as any screenshots you’ve taken and uploaded during the playing of the game. As data relating to your garden is automatically attached to each screenshot, the public gallery section can easily be searched through by requesting the garden value, the gardener’s level, the environment, or time of day. This also includes any Piñata Vision cards created using the in-game tool, and can either be freely available for any user or gifted to someone in your friends list.
There’s also the extensive leaderboard section covering each piñata species and their accumulative value, specific gardener level and awards, and the multiplayer piñata competition. While the rankings are relatively sparse now, expect to be invigorated by the tough competition in the coming weeks.
That said, a thriving community needs incentive to get started, which is what the European Xbox.com Treasure Hunt intends to do this coming Friday. Scattered around the site’s pages will be 25 piñata eggs containing a variety of piñata species and accessories on those elusive vision cards. Another similarly-sized batch will be sown through the Xbox community network, so be sure to help your fellow reader by reporting your findings in the comments section.
