Trouble in Paradise and Pocket Paradise ship to stores in North America

Paradises should be arriving tomorrow.

Fulfilling a promise to have both games out by year’s end, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise and Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise, have shipped to stores and will be available later tomorrow. Which for some reason is always how retail games work here in America: the release date announced is never the day you can actually buy it in stores; instead, it’s the day afterwards.

Needless to say, Trouble in Paradise expands on what made the original good by adding online co-op for up to four players, and the ability to scan cards to the Xbox Live Vision Camera. Meanwhile, Pocket Paradise is a port of the 360 version on a system that will more than likely get the audience it still deserves. Either way, you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Europe, the place where release dates are the day you can actually buy the game, will get them on the 5th. Stay tuned at MundoRare in the upcoming days as we get ourselves off the Piñata crack in order to write our first impressions/reviews on the long-awaited Piñata goodness.

Sadly, my gamestop is STILL saying Pocket Paradise isn’t released until Sept. 8th. I’m hoping they get a surprise shipment tomorrow.
