Ultimate Combos and Galaxies in Banjo’s latest title

Here there be Achievements

A few days ago, a list of the Achievements for Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts surfaced. They range from the simple (getting your first Jiggy), to the time-consuming (winning 20 ranked Xbox Live multiplayer games), to this trend that Rare seems to love the hell out of, which is of course an Achievement only done if you play with a Rare member or have played with someone who has.

Anyway, on to the list. Revel in the hilarity of some of the names. *spoilers ahead!*

Pointless Collector - (10G) – Take part in the L.O.G badge collector challenge at the start of the game in Spiral Mountain
Open Nuts - (10G) – Place the Nutty Acres Game Globe on it’s plinth in Showdown Town
Next-Next Gen - (10G) – Place the LOGBOX 720 Game Globe on it’s plinth in Showdown Town
History Lesson - (15G) – Place the Banjo land Game Globe on it’s plinth in Showdown Town

Test Your Strength - (20G) – Roll up, show the whole of Banjo Land how strong you are
Great Balls of Fire - (20G) – Take a heavy ball around the Jiggoseum and get a burning sensation
Ultimate Combo - (20G) – More than a 3-hit combo in Terranium of Terror
Floater In The Pipe - (20G) – Eurgh! That’s not going to help the Test-O-Track plumbing
Burn the Witch - (20G) - Showdown Town witch hunt
Head For Heights - (20G) – Find the best view in Showdown Town
Fuzz Off! - (20G) – POP goes the Weasel!
Paint Your Wagon - (10G) - Paint any part of your vehicle in Mumbo’s Motors
Speedy Of The Colossus - (25G) – Build a vehicle with 200 or more blocks and go over a set speed
Minimalist - (25G) – Build a vehicle with 5 blocks or less and go over a set speed
Whoa Nelly! - (25G) – Travel in a vehicle over a set speed
Loose Change - (20G) – Collect ALL the Showdown Town Loose Change
~~Arcade N00b - (10G) - Finish the first level of Klungo’s arcade game~~
Arcade Pwner - (30G) – Finish all levels of Klungo’s Arcade game
Sunday League - (20G) – Play in and complete a multiplayer game League
Premier League - (40G) - Play in and complete a marathon multiplayer game League (Every Race, Every Sport or Every Race and Sport)
What’s That Smell? - (10G) – Play an Xbox LIVE multiplayer game against a Banjo team member, or somebody who has already done so
Bit Of Blue - (10G) – Share a blueprint with another player or friend over XboxLIVE, or save 20 blueprints
Paparazzi - (10G) – Take a photo and upload to XboxLIVE, or upload 5 photos
Caught On Camera - (10G) – Send a video replay to a Friend over Xbox LIVE, or save five replays
High Fives All Round - (10G) – Be on winning team in a ranked team game
All My Own Work - (20G) - Win ranked solo game with custom vehicle
Too Easy! - (10G) – Win a ranked solo race by reversing over the line
Too Easy Too! - (20G) - Win a ranked solo race by running or swimming over the line
Are You Trophy Thomas? - (40G) – Win 20 Xbox LIVE ranked multiplayer games in any mode

Before you scream that it’s fake, keep in mind that in Paris, the “Open Nuts” Achievement was revealed. Not to mention that when we played in Banjo-Land, a Banjo Pez Dispenser next to the Cactus of Strength from Banjo-Tooie hinted towards an Achievement if one hits the bell up to the very top. So that’s two right, at least. Plus you know that Rare can’t resist Super Mario Galaxy and Genji: Days of the Blade after the former’s stint as a “possible” story for Nuts & Bolts and after the latter’s appearance thanks to a quote in Viva Piñata.

It seems that while we shot the gun for the most part, in a surprising move not done before by the company, Rare’s website has updated with the correct titles of the Achievements. For example, Super Banjo Galaxy is known as Super Banjo Universe, and Craparazzi is now simply Paparazzi. Aside from a few little changes here and there, everything from the original article mostly stayed the same. We’ve edited this article’s list to reflect that.

Now stop dodging Scribes, Loveday. We need our Rubbish Picture Attachment and Mr. Pants fetishes realized.
