Xbox Live downtime precedes the upcoming Dashboard update
Better enjoy the current dashboard while it lasts
The countdown to the Avatar-filled New Xbox Experience begins. At 12:01 PST, the service will go down for 24 hours to “prepare for the cool new stuff coming your way in the new Xbox experience,” according to the Gamerscore Blog.
While the service will go down, don’t expect to make your Avatar the moment you go back online; it’s been stated multiple times that the Avatar service will be available later in the fall. However, if anything changes on the 30th, we’ll keep you updated as it happens.
In the meantime, get your Trouble in Paradise time now before you Xbox Live addicts lose a day of online gaming and the always welcome cursing at strangers about their mothers, nationalities and genders. Bless.
