Banjo-Tooie XBLA will have the original Stop ‘n’ Swop
Release month and the vague teasings of the original SnS revealed
Now that you’ve played through Banjo-Kazooie XBLA and Nuts & Bolts, what’s next? Well, if you were around last summer to hear about plans for Banjo-Tooie XBLA coming soon, you’ve guessed correctly.
According to Rare, you can expect BT XBLA to arrive on the service around April, just in time for egg-hunting in “silky-smooth frame rates and super-sharp HD graphics.” The former should be very pleasing to fans of the originals.

Speaking of egg-hunting, MundoRare was the first to let you know as well regarding the possible connection between BK XBLA to Nuts & Bolts as well as BK XBLA to BT XBLA. That is fortunately still coming true, as 4J Studios collaborated with the Banjo team to bring Stop ‘n’ Swop back the way it was meant to be. George Kelion slyly elaborated: “Without going into too much detail, the Stop ‘n’ Swop items collected in Banjo-Kazooie will ‘magically’ appear in Tooie, resulting in… well, you’ll just have to find out. What could be cooler than that? Nothing, that’s what – not even Kazooie turning into a dragon.”
Nothing has been said on pricing (although BK XBLA’s costly release was 1200 MS Points), but having a Stop ‘n’ Swop that should be way better than what we got in Nuts & Bolts and a much improved frame rate is reason enough to think that it’s a good time to be a classic Banjo fan.
