The other GoldenEye remake goes gold
We may not get it for the Xbox, but that’s not an issue on PC
GoldenEye Source BETA 3 has been released. That said, the only people on Earth who could have possibly been pleased to hear about GoldenEye’s cancellation for the XBLA now have even more reasons to be happy. For those of you who have been living on Ganymede for the last few years, GoldenEye Source is an unofficial PC mod for Half Life 2 that recreates Rare’s original game for N64 with improved graphics, animations, sound and options.
The first beta of this project hit the Net back in 2006. Even today, the excitement and prospects about it remain as high as ever. But finally, the wait for a finished product seems to be over. Among many new additions, this mod features a multiplayer suitable to more than twenty users at once, a revamped soundtrack and new levels playable on deathmatch. You can check out the latest trailer or simply download it from its official website to judge for yourselves.
