Tooie’s Easter-limited items now available on the Marketplace
No specific release date has been set yet
Following LOG’s Lost Challenges and Klungo’s gamerpics, Easter ‘09 continues with another bunch of Banjo items in the Xbox Marketplace. As promised by Rare, the so-called Tooie’s Splendid Theme can now be downloaded for 250 Microsoft Points, and the two packs of Stop ‘n’ Swop gamerpics are also available for the price of free (but just until next Monday!).

Of course, the highly expected Banjo-Tooie XBLA trailer has also made its appearance to show us that, finally, the Stop ‘n’ Swop connection will work between the two original Banjo titles. After ten years of waiting, Rare has even decided to commemorate the addition of this feature with its own specific logo!
Although, as you may have seen from this new video, it’s hard to say if the final awards will be different from the ones featured in the original game: Heggy already rewarded gamers with the Bregull Bash move back in 2000/2001.
So, clearly, we’ll have to wait a little bit more to discover the truth. And while a release date hasn’t been announced yet, Rare’s George Kelion has assured us again that “classic Banjo-Tooie for Xbox Live Arcade is still scheduled to arrive later this month; just hang tight and we’ll have more details for you really rather soon indeed.”

Nice teaser, but comic sans still makes me want to jam forks in my eyes.
