Banjo and Kazooie confirmed for Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
Only the Xbox version features specific console characters in the box art
No smoke without a fire: one of the recent Rare rumours have been officially confirmed. And, no, it is not Killer Instinct 3… yet (there’s still a Rare Xmas Card coming in a few days, so stay tuned for the classical festive hint at their future titles). We are talking about Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing… With Banjo-Kazooie.
As TSSZ News yesterday reported, Sega themselves did upload to their official website the definitive box arts for this third party title, coming in early 2010. The surprise came from the Xbox 360 box art, which was the only one featuring a console specific character: on it, Banjo and Kazooie are chasing Sonic in a big red car which doesn’t look very similar to their Nuts & Bolts contraptions. These pictures have been later removed from Sega’s website, but luckily not from the Internet.
As our pals from the DKU speculate, this probably means that Banjo and his feathered companion won’t be included via DLC, which is only good news, at least for our pockets. But, unfortunately, this may also probably mean that we won’t see any new Rare racing title in the coming future.
Expect more S&SASRWBK (phew…!) news coming eventually!

I never thought I’d live to see a Rare character in a Sega Game.. I like random crossovers, now let’s hope the game is not complete crap.
Comment by Àlarik — 16.Dec.09 @ 2:34 pmThat’s actually smart of Sega. I’m guessing for the Wii version, will be Mario. And the Ps3 Version Jax and Clank.
I don’t know for the Ds Version.
Now i might buy this game
Comment by Billy — 16.Dec.09 @ 3:47 pmI for one think this is great news. I enjoyed Banjo & Kazooie so if little kids buy Sega’s All Star Racing. They will see Banjo & Kazooie and then want to buy there games. Nuts and Bolts has been out for some time. So may be there will be an increase in Nuts & Bolts.
I hope this will pave way for Banjo Threeie. Nuts and Bolts was great. Now I want the old style gaming back. But I think if you throw in the Nuts and Bolts car making feature into Banjo Threeie for multi-player gaming. That would be a great added feature.

Banjo & Kazooie + Avatar support
Comment by Kmetalmind — 17.Dec.09 @ 10:49 pmThe new Banjo Kazooie SUCKS! I prefer original Nintendo style of Banjo Kazooie. Avatar’s XBOX = Mii Copy. Why Microsoft ALWAYS TAKE Nintendo ideas? that it’s A RARE Crossover.
