Rare brings in 2010 with a Christmas Card
Natal Speculation Ahoy!
It’s been a yearly tradition for Rare to post a Christmas Card for years now, and this year is no different. As you can see, they’ve done away with the tree to have a gigantic Rare logo in the middle. Whereas last year’s card had Banjo, the Pinatas, and Avatars, this year’s card is a bit more cryptic. Which isn’t surprising, considering how Rare’s been deadly silent when it comes to their Natal projects.
From what we can see, there’s a solitary glove belonging to T.J. Combo of Killer Instinct fame (making up for the lack of a KI reference in last year’s card), a bulldozer reminiscent of Blast Corps (some MR staffers are probably yelling for joy at the thought of a Blast Corps Natal game), and other unrecognizable things including… a tennis racket. That prospect doesn’t sound exciting.
Also, for 240 MS Points, you can get the Rare Holiday Dashboard Theme. For some reason, it’s located under Nuts & Bolts’ section on Xbox Live, but judging from the preview screenshots, it appears to be more than worth it, considering the season of giving.

and the only reason i think conker is an actual possibility is because its the only game not from xbox 360… and its getting the lime light over the likes of perfect dark which doesnt even show up on the theme. who knows.. but i can only hope

Wow, that theme looks really cool! And maybe they’re making a new jetpac, as I see a rocket on the left of the christmas card (would be cool!)

Yeah has anyone noticed that the snowglobe appears to be some sort of palace with Banjo Kazooie honeycombs outside it? Also worth mentioning is in the friends list you can see just poking out from the tree (top left of snowglobe in 2nd pic, peekin out of top loft of Kameo rock guy in 3rd pic) some weird looking thing. Anyone know what this is?

i see a conker fire place. please let there be conker!!! and if we MUST be subjected to the same old tennis, ping pong and possibly boxing we got from wii sports, then at least hopefully you can play as rare characters or your avatar
