Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie released
Banjo and Avatars appear in the game as guest stars
Just a couple of months after the first rumour of Banjo appearing in a third party racing game, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is finally released this week.
Americans are already able to get the game in their stores, while Europeans will be as soon as this Friday, February 26. Asians will have to wait a bit longer, until March. The recommended prices in these territories are $49.95, £39.99, €59,95. As usual, if you live in Europe, you should avoid that abusive price by buying it for half its price in a British or American online store…
S&SASRWBK is a typical karting game, featuring all the main Sega characters; but the Xbox version got the inclusion of Banjo and Kazooie, and the Xbox Avatars as well, as guest stars. A rather simple demo is available in the Xbox Live Marketplace.

no. whats truely ironic is that probably half the people that will buy this game are only buying it BECAUSE of banjo and the avatars. haha who’s this blue hedgehog?- says those gamers hahaha
Comment by Billy — 26.Feb.10 @ 7:27 pmAin’t that the truth? I still would have bought the game even if Banjo and the Avatars weren’t in it, but since they are exclusive to the 360 why not?
Comment by Hamilton — 26.Feb.10 @ 8:20 pmhaha exactlyy
Comment by Billy — 26.Feb.10 @ 10:27 pmI think it’s pretty sad that the biggest news on a Rare website for the longest time concerns a Sega-developed Sonic game, and a revamp of a ten year old game (developed by an entirely different developer, might I add).
When are Rare going to come back with some new, genre defying properties and make some big waves in this industry again?
As a fan, I’m just not excited about Banjo appearing in a third-party racing game, or a spruced up N64 game that’s been out for a decade! Can we have something new? PLEASE.
Comment by SummerSky — 27.Feb.10 @ 10:29 pmAs far as I’m concerned, Banjo in a SEGA game is pretty hot and new.
Comment by Hamilton — 28.Feb.10 @ 1:04 amAnd I’m not having a dig at the site here – they’re doing the best they can with what they’ve got.
Comment by SummerSky — 28.Feb.10 @ 6:42 pmExactly.

Isn’t it ironic that people care more about Banjo than the Avatars?
